Nearing its 20th year, Miss Earth is celebrated as one of the Top 3 international pageants, featuring nearly 100 national representatives at each year’s glamorous competition. With millions of viewers, Miss Earth is the most watched global environmental event, known as “Beauties for a Cause.”
2017 Miss Earth United States is Andreia Gibau of Massachusetts, crowned on August 5 in Washington, DC, televised on the DISH Network. Andreia placed in the Top 16 internationally at Miss Earth 2017 in the Philippines. Miss Earth has been ranked in the “best of pageantry” internationally and nationally by The Pageant Planet, Art & Beauty Magazine, and Prestige Pageantry Awards.
Since 2016, the Miss Earth United States franchise has been managed by U.S. Earth Productions, Inc / Beauty Beyond Borders 501(c)3. The organization takes pride in being "for pageant girls, by pageant girls" with an all-female leadership team. The organization is searching for the most exceptional women around the United States of America to be named as 2018 delegates. The winner of Miss Earth United States age 18-26 will advance to the internationally televised Miss Earth competition. Winner of Teen Miss Earth United States age 14-19 and the winner of Elite Miss Earth United States age 26-34 will also advance to international competitions in their divisions. Miss Earth United States also offers local and state titles for ages 5-14 as part of the national junior ambassador program.
